Borrowing techniques from architecture and computer science, we'll use design patterns to define reusable solutions to common CSS layout problems.

You will come away with a deeper understanding of CSS layout models, what to look for when choosing the most appropriate grid framework, and techniques for creating complex responsive layouts.

Topics will include:

  • Isolation vs Float
  • Intrinsic Ratios
  • Semantic vs Non-semantic grid systems
  • Asymmetric vs Symmetric grids
